As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Michael Webb has developed a thriving private practice in which he helps individual adults, couples and families to achieve their goals of better lives and better relationships.

People often come to see Michael because something seems to hold them back from progressing in an important relationship, as a professional or in their personal sense of well-being.

With a passion to bring his clients to a deeper self-awareness, stronger relationships, and more satisfying life, he works with issues such as anxiety, depression, negative self-concept, anger, and struggling/failed relationships. Using a caring and compassionate approach, Michael is able to effectively help individuals, couples and families overcome the blocks that keep them from having and enjoying the life they desire.

Michael Webb began his career working with youth. With a special ability to connect with teens, he worked as a youth leader while attending the University of California, Irvine. His work included taking teens on cross-cultural service trips to meet the needs of impoverished people in Mexico, Haiti and India. Now adults, Michael continues to be in touch with many of the teens he worked with.

Michael Webb began his work in mental health as a Behavioral Specialist at College Hospital in Costa Mesa. He provided behavioral services to teens that were suffering from severe mental illnesses and addiction. Michael went on to work at Olive Crest Treatment Centers. As a division director, Michael oversaw the placement, care and treatment of over 200 abused & neglected children and teens.

Michael Webb was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve on his licensing board – The Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) in 2010. The BBS is responsible for consumer protection through the regulation of four different mental health licenses. Michael was honored to spend a year serving the Governor, Californians and his profession in this important role as a board member.

Michael Webb has been married to his wife Morag Webb, since 1989 and they have two daughters. He is active in his community. Michael enjoys being involved in his daughters’ school, participating in a multidisciplinary business group, and speaking to groups on topics relating to personal and interpersonal growth. In his free time, he enjoys running, cycling, and cooking.
